Doctor George Tiller was shot to death while attending church services this morning in Wichita Kansas.
Numerous witnesses at the church are cooperating with Wichita Police, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and the FBI to identify the suspect and arrest him.
So far the information released is that they are looking for a white male. He was driving a 1990s powder blue Ford Taurus with Kansas license plate 225 BAB. The vehicle is registered to an owner in Merriam, which is in the Kansas City area.
Regardless of your opinion about abortion, this kind of action is the wrong way to handle the issue. Murdering someone in cold blood will give the pro-abortion movement the ability paint anyone who opposes abortion as being like this person who killed Tiller.
I have disagreed with what Tiller did, but I never would have done anything like this because I held his life just as sacred as the lives of those babies he aborted. I felt I had the right to speak against abortion and Tiller's performing it, but let God be the final judge of Tiller for his actions.
The person who did this is a coward. If he felt so strongly that what he did was right he wold not have run after doing it. Just like Tiller God will be the final judge of this man.
NOTE: Just as I was posting this entry, it was announced that the suspect was in custody. More information is to be revealed in a 4 pm cst news conference.
