It is time for action!

With the actions of the Senate this morning, and before that the House this fall, where Congressional members had their votes for a "Health Care" bill bought with bribes it is time that the T.E.A. Party Movement, the 10th Amendment Movement, the 9/12 Movement, and all other similar groups need to band together and fight in their respective states for a Constitutional Convention.

In this Constitutional Convention one issue should be the focus: Establishing the ability for the people of a Congressional District to petition for and cause to happen a Recall Election of their elected official.

This Constitutional change is necessary because under Article I, Section 5, clause 2, of the Constitution members of Congress may be removed by Congress but no provision exists for the States or the people to do so. Furthermore, attempts to perform Recalls in the past have been fought in court and although the U.S. Supreme Court has not directly ruled in regard to Recall efforts, the court has made indirect rulings that prevent the state from taking an authority it was not granted in the original draft of the Constitution, and subsequent amendments.

Given the past rulings and the blatant acts by congress to defy the desires of the constituents it is time that "We the People" act.

The Congress is acting with blatant arrogance, incompetence, corruption, and is unresponsive to the desires of those they represent because they know that they can try and get unwanted legislation passed before the mid-term election and they are willing to lose seats in November of 2010 for the long term goal of more control over our lives.

We the People need to be able to hold them continuously accountable for their actions, rather than periodically, just as our State and Local elected officials are, with out that ability they will continue to act the way they are today. Every act they take in Congress should be with the thought; "Will the people I represent remove me from office for this?"

They work for us. As their boss we should have the right to terminate them at any time and send them down the road when they don't do their job as we expect.
